Maarten’s practice focuses on various real estate branches. In the field of hotel real estate, Maarten has built up a significant track record in supporting buyers and sellers of hotel real estate, operators and service providers. Maarten has completed prominent projects in the field of residential and commercial space in Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam. Maarten knows how to move parties in the same direction and how to create consensus. He prefers to prevent conflicts, and combines legal ingenuity with a practical approach.

A special area of interest in his practice are the rules and regulations on homeowners’ associations. He is called in as a specialist in complex homeowners’ association’s issues and he litigates in that area throughout the whole country. Maarten has been a lawyer since 2001 and completed the Grotius specialisation course in Spatial Planning Law and Environmental Law in 2013. In 2014, Maarten co-founded Pact advocaten, where he has worked as a partner ever since.
Maarten is registered with the Dutch Bar Association as principal legal practice area environmental law and secondary legal practice area administratieve zoning and planning law.
